Description

Mountainview School has one full-time (1.0 FTE), 10-month vacancy.

This position is responsible for teaching weekly Science enrichment classes to students and supporting other school academic programs as assigned.

Examples of Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Prepare and present weekly science enrichment lessons based on NGSS standards that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.

Encourage students to think independently, take risks, collaborate, and express original ideas.

Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students\ physical, social, and emotional development.

Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified applicants must have: (1) A valid California Multiple Subject and/or Single Subject Science Credential or Foundational-Level General Science Credential (2) Experience with elementary-age learners, middle school-age learners, English Language Learners, and students with diverse learning needs.

Credential must be registered with the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing by the closing date of the application deadline.

Applicants must have a valid California driver\s license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
