Your key responsibilities 

Lead to originate Corporate Bank sustainable finance pipelines/mandates for Coverage in Gr China, via direct client coverage or in partnership with peer Coverage bankers

Drive and develop client dialogues on ESG/sustainability transformation

Closely work with ESG CoE/CB ESG/Group Sustainability, to enable peer Coverage bankers and product partners in structuring sustainable finance solutions, + internal/external sustainable/green finance validations

Master internal/external policy/procedures on sustainable finance and enable sustainable finance knowledge transfers to Gr China corporate coverage team

Ensuring that Deutsche Bank is the provider of choice for clients and that all avenues for working with a client across different geographies and products are explored

Form and run Client Service Teams with product teams for key relationships to deliver creative solutions and providing follow-up as required 

To co-ordinate with other Deutsche Bank colleagues overseas to ensure clients receive seamless worldwide banking services

To assist team leaders to form viable business strategies, implementation plans, as well as prompt work process adjustments from time to time to adapt to changes in the market/regulatory environments

To  manage credit exposure to clients and coordinate capital allocation process 

To give instruction/coach to junior staff for efficient deal execution and his/her career development

Help to build and maintain DB’s profile in the local corporate and banking industry through active engagement in select professional organizations and government sponsored bodies

Your skills and experience

Minimum 10 years of client service experience in banking industry paired with a strong sense of accountability and integrity;

Self-starter and strong business development skills to originate new/incremental corporate banking mandates in the field of sustainable finance;

Good understanding of corporates’ sustainability transition strategies/actions in the context of  ESG agendas, sustainable finance frameworks, and global/national climate policies;

With extensive exposure in China and an understanding of the business environment, regulatory regime and market trends; 

Solid accounting, financial, and credit analysis skills;

Thorough knowledge of different bank products, particularly commercial/transaction banking products;

Fluent in Mandarin and English, both verbal and written;

Excellent communication skills in terms of the ability to present to seniors confidently and knowledgably;

Good team player who is willing to learn and work hard;

Motivated and results oriented;

Good public speaking and presentation skills are preferred

Client Lifecycle Management team is in charge of New Client Adoption & Client Due Diligent (CDD), Know Your Client (KYC) Periodic Review & Remediation, and Static Data & Maintenance Services for CIB clients across different business lines.

Your key responsibilities

Manage the inflow of request and prioritize KYC Client onboarding and Periodic reviews

Ensure business and client is provided with the KYC, Tax, and regulatory requirements for all onboarding and periodic review request

Ensure key stakeholders are kept informed of the progress, challenges, and escalating issues where appropriate. Interact with Front Office and External Clients as appropriate and be hands on. Take end to end ownership and coordinate with various teams to get the task done (Credit, Compliance, Legal etc)

Follow up on any delays and deficiency on KYC docs

Ability to work with onshore and offshore teams

Liaise with Compliance/Business/External counterparts

Perform quality checks to ensure that defined guideline is adhered

Work as the process owner and ensure end-to-end management of all associated activities

Ensure adherence to standards, procedures and identify risk mitigates and is fully aware of Operational Risk management

Participates in regular operational performance reviews and monthly self-assessment

Should be commercially minded and ensure that information available with the bank or publicly available are sourced and leveraged

Remain updated with Regulation and Industry Knowledge

Break the silos within COB and with other departments to ensure efficient and speedy completion of tasks. Reduce complexity of the tasks.

Support in preparing of MIS required for management decision making

All overdue and ageing request are followed and placed for closure or hold to ensure the pipeline effective management

Should be adept in spotting trends (in data points) and analyze the same for further action

Must be able to multi-task effectively 

Your skills and experience

Graduates with good academic record

Strong knowledge on AML, KYC and Regulatory requirements

1 year related working experiences in financial services industries or fresh graduate with solid internship experiences.

Effective communication skills – to be able to manage relationships with clients virtually

Experience working in a highly-matrixed environment, and accustomed to bridging the gap between disparate organizations and cultures.

Good knowledge of KYC regulatory trends and developments

Proven ability to prioritize competing demands.

General knowledge of Business Banking product set.

Able to cope well under pressure and meet deadlines

Should be hands on and should keep himself updated on regulatory changes

Eye for detail and willingness to question current state practices

Independent, self-motivated and a team player.

Ability to use sound judgment to determine due diligence quality and if meets regulatory standards.

Ability to apply regulatory guidance to review process in absence of written policy
